Background Checks

Thank you for volunteering in our ministries at First CRC of Hanford. You are the hands and feet of Christ in his church and in our community.

We endeavor to keep First CRC a safe place for youth and vulnerable adults. One of the ways we ensure a safe environment is to do periodic background checks. Our Safe Church Policy requires all volunteers to undergo a background check every two years. If you’re getting this email, it’s because your background check has expired and you will receive another email shortly with information on how to do the background check.

As an alternative to a basic background check every two years, you may opt to get a Live Scan. Live Scans continuously monitor those who get checked, so they are required only once. The process involves finger printing and can take a bit of time up front, but once it’s done you’ll no longer be required to get the background check every two years. If you would like to do a Live Scan, please contact Becky.

Since the background check or Live Scan is required, please have either completed by 11/24/24 so you may continue building God’s kingdom here at First CRC!
